Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) will celebrate the American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day Saturday, June 4, with a fun-filled event on the Mt. Tamalpais Watershed.
The day will begin at 9 a.m. at MMWD’s Sky Oaks Headquarters located at 49 Sky Oaks Road in Fairfax. Following sign-in and breakfast snacks, we will break into volunteer work crews and hike out to the scenic Bullfrog Trail in the Sky Oaks Meadow.
Crews will be working to maintain a redwood boardwalk, improve trail drainage, and prune vegetation. Volunteers are sure to work up an appetite so MMWD will provide a complimentary BBQ lunch at 12:30 p.m. as well as a t-shirt to commemorate the day’s events.
If you’re interested in participating in this year’s National Trails Day celebration, please register at http://www.onetam.org/national-trails-day-2016, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. This event is suitable for ages 13 and up. We hope to see you there!
