Water Assembly Offered at Elementary Schools

by Robin McKillop, Water Conservation Specialist Supervisor

I recently visited Park Elementary School in Mill Valley to view an MMWD-sponsored water assembly. The assembly was presented by ZunZun, an award-winning performing arts group specializing in environmental education. Every year ZunZun and MMWD create a new assembly celebrating water through a lively and humorous musical performance. This year’s assembly features information about irrigation, leaks, water conservation, watersheds and pollution prevention—always in a fun and engaging format.

Assemblies are offered free of charge to schools in MMWD’s service area on a first-come first-served basis. Minimum attendance of 100 students is required. Bilingual (Spanish-English) shows are available. Typically, assemblies fill up at the start of each school year, so be sure to book early. For additional information, contact ZunZun at 831-426-0684 or zunzun@zunzuntunes.com
