Recycled Water Filling Station shifts to seasonal hours

Recycled Water Filling Station Update – Nov. 14, 2022

As part of our commitment to conservation, Marin Water continues to offer its free recycled water program throughout the irrigation seasons, allowing District customers to collect up to 300 gallons of water.

That recycled water can then be used to water outdoor gardens and landscaping, washing outdoor furniture or hard surfaces and more – all while saving precious potable water for drinking, cooking and other appropriate indoor uses.

Starting the week of Oct. 31, 2022, Marin Water will shift to seasonal hours at its Recycled Water Filling Station, located at Armory Drive in San Rafael.

The new hours – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Friday – reflect the changing seasons, cooling temperatures and lower demand for irrigation. Please note that the site will be closed in observance of Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and Thanksgiving, Nov. 25.

Reminder: If you’re a new customer who plans to use the filling station for the first time, remember to print and complete the filling station application form, and bring it with you on your first visit. Staff will then issue an ID card for your use in subsequent visits.

Once winter rainfall sets in, the Recycled Water Filling Station will officially close for the season.
