Treehaven Pipeline Replacement - Fire Flow Improvement Program

Construction update

Marin Water is installing more than a mile of 8- and 6-inch pipe, replacing leak-prone, fire flow-deficient 4-inch cast iron pipe originally installed in San Rafael nearly 100 years ago.

The project will improve fire flow and seismic reliability in this area and is in support of the District’s voter-approved Fire Flow Improvement Program.

Project Update (April 6, 2023)

Work on this project has commenced after prior delays due to material lead time issues and supply chain disruptions.
