Budget study session planned for May 2 board meeting

Budget Update - Apr. 28, 2023

On Tuesday, May 2, the Marin Water Board of Directors will meet for a Study Session on the upcoming proposed budget for fiscal year 2023-24 and 2024-25. The Study Session will provide the Board with a preview of Marin Water’s two-year proposed budget before it is formally adopted at a Board meeting in June.

The budget incorporates the costs necessary to provide safe and reliable water service over the long term and reflects the budget priorities that are built into the current rate proposal. These priorities include strategic investment of revenues to rehabilitate aging infrastructure, bolster water supply , keep pace with rising operations and maintenance costs, restore reserves and maintain an ecologically healthy and fire-resilient Mt. Tamalpais Watershed.

The study session will be an item on the board's regular Tuesday meeting agenda and members of the public may participate in the meeting virtually via Zoom, by phone or in person.
