Marin Water is beginning the process of updating the Roads and Trails Management Plan (RTMP) for the Mount Tamalpais Watershed. Adopted in 2005, the RTMP guides how the District maintains and manages watershed roads and trails to protect water quality, support safe public access and preserve natural resources.
The update will build on findings from the Watershed Recreation Management Plan Feasibility Study, completed in 2024, and will include opportunities for public input throughout the planning process.
For the first of those opportunities, Marin Water invites the community to join us at a Community Open House and Workshop on:
Sunday, November 9 (11 a.m. - 3 p.m.) OR Monday, November 10 (3 - 6 p.m.). The same activities are planned both days.
Sky Oaks Ranger Station, 49 Sky Oaks Rd, Fairfax
Attend one of these dates to learn more about the RTMP Update and share your perspective.
The open house will feature three interactive stations focused on key topics such as trail standards, restoration priorities and visitor engagement.
This event marks the first in a series of public engagement opportunities that will help shape the future of watershed roads and trails.
