Investing in your water system
This project will provide crucial upgrades and improvements to the Bon Tempe Treatment Plant’s resiliency and longevity. A 5-foot section of the backwash line needs to replacement due to corrosion and cavitation, and the new section will be more corrosively resilient and eliminate the cavitation occurring in that section. The throttle control valve, which was causing the cavitation in that 5-foot section, will be relocated to the parking lot to allow for easier access for maintenance. The new location will reduce the cavitation in the system and increase the longevity of the throttle control valve and the backwash line. Replacement of the backwash tank valve will help isolate the backwash tank for any maintenance work needed on the backwash line.
